The reason why I am selling my condo unit is because I want to shift to Shah Alam, Selangor; closer to where my office is. To be honest, I have been very reluctant to my Royal Domain unit for many reasons as will further be elaborated in this blog; but I cherish the idea of living close to the office, saving on time, petrol, toll and car maintenance. I can leave the house late and come back early if I live in Shah Alam. What I plan to do is just rent an apartment there. That’s my plan. Hopefully this will happen by mid this year.
I have received advise from family and friends to just rent my condo unit. No doubt, this is another option; though I'm just not keen on the hassle of collecting rent, following up with the tenant, and things like that.
I know that I will lose out, as the price for Royal Domain units have appreciated about RM100K in the past 2 years, but that's the price of the convenience I'm buying I guess. So congratulations to the future buyer. For getting value-for-money, and a long-term investment opportunity.
